Dr. Pablo Hernández-Lagos brings a fascinating perspective to the ways in which political activity and leadership decisions shape economic outcomes. His thought-provoking research examines the delicate balance between economic growth and conflict, the erosion of trust due to political polarization, and the impact of leadership on equity markets. An authority in strategy and leadership, he has recently investigated whether generative AI can help job candidates and entrepreneurs fake or enhance their expertise.
With publications in prestigious journals such as Nature and The American Political Science Review, and features in The Harvard Business Review, Bloomberg and The Financial Times, Dr. Hernández-Lagos brings both scholarly rigor and real-world relevance to his teaching. Before pursuing his doctorate, he helped create Chile's National Innovation Strategy–an experience that enriches his approach to complex economic challenges.
