Professor Skolnik’s clinical background is extensive as a therapist and group worker in domestic violence, with young adults with disabilities, and child welfare.
Professor Skolnik joined the full-time faculty in 2016 after teaching as an adjunct faculty member for three years. She teaches clinical practice, psychosocial pathology, and human behavior in the social environment. She is responsible for the newly adopted Certificate in Creative Arts and Healing. Her clinical background is extensive as a therapist and group worker in domestic violence, with young adults with disabilities, and child welfare. She has a certificate in psychodrama. She has co-chaired the International Association for Social Work with Groups (IASWG) annual group work conference, which has been held in New York for the last three years.
